Iondownloader
Scantronic iON - Downloader

The Scantronc iON downloader uses an IP Address and port number as the communication interface to remote manager

The IP address used can be any unused local address, i.e. 127.0.0.1, on any unused port numbers, i.e. 50560. A session in the RM must be setup with these details for communications to be successful.

Note: For older versions of the Downloader, the Remote Manager session must be run first before running up the Downloader due to it blocking the IP ports that the session needs to use otherwise the integration does not work. Latest Downloader version resolves this by allowing you to change the Downloader Remote Service server IP port.

Create an iON downloader session

1. Click on the [Sessions] menu item and select the [New] menu item. RM will display a new [Session Configuration] page.

2. Give the new session a name by entering a name in the [Session Name] edit box.
3. Then click on the [Session Type] drop down list box and select ION IP from the list.
4. Click on the [SSH Server 1 IP] edit box and enter the IP address of PC that is running the SSH Server and WebWayOne’s Gateway application.
5. Do the same for [SSH Server 2 IP].

6.Edit the [Port Number] to what you have chosen. Leave Any IP address ticked.
7. Make sure that you select the correct rule from the [Rules for conversion of IP Address to Account\Site ID] list as it can depend on whether you are using the Remote Manager  on an old system. If you are unsure, please contact WebWayOne for help.
8. In communication rules tick [Block client retry messages]
9. Make sure the [Connection Mode] is set to “Communicator”.
10. Click on the [Accept] button.
11.On the main display, click on the [Save] button. This session is now ready to run.
